Hand forged blacksmith hammer forged from a 1 1/2" square bar of 4140. This hammer is weighs aprox. 2 lb 2 oz. including the handle which is 16" long. The peen is 3/4" wide. It is a very handy hammer both in size and weight and will move a lot of steel without being overly large. Both faces are clean to leave a nice finish on a hot work piece.
The hickory handle was stained, soaked in oil, and then buffed with beeswax.
